Frequently Asked Questions

How long will it take to receive my order ?

We try to complete orders with 48 hours of your order being received, but this can vary if the order is placed over the weekend, bank holidays, or at particularly busy periods in the rugby calendar such as the Six Nations and the Autumn Series. You should receive your order within 7 days, but please allow up to 10 days before contacting us.

What size prints do you offer ?

The standard sizes are 6×4 inch, A4 and A3, and these are selectable when placing your order. If you require a different size to these, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

The 6×4 inch photographs are supplied without a border, while the A4 and A3 are printed with a white border which makes for easy framing and reduces the chance of fingerprints showing up on the actual image.

The A4 print image area is 11 x 7.5 inches, while the A3 image area is 15.5 x 10.5 inches.

Do you provide Black and White prints ?

All our recent photographs are taken and supplied in colour, while a number of the classic photographs are only available in Black and White. The photograph is supplied as seen on the website, but if you have a particular request for a colour photograph to supplied in B/W please contact us. We are unable to supply the B/W photographs on our website in colour.

Do you sell digital versions of the photographs ?

Sorry, no. Due to copyright and licensing conditions we don’t supply copies of the photographs via email or CD to members of the public.

Is it possible to use some of your photographs on our website ?

Of course, but this comes under a commercial use contract, so please contact us for advice.

Do you provide the photographs framed ?

Sorry, no. Due to problems with prints being damaged in the post, we don’t offer a framed service. The only exceptions to this are a number of our limited edition prints which are supplied framed, but the photograph description will indicate this.

Can you deliver to an alternative address ?

Yes. Please advise us via email stating your order number and the address you would like the order sent to.

Is there discount for multiple print orders ?

As each photograph is printed specifically, we do not offer a discount for multiple print orders. The online ordering system will indicate the cost of the order.

If you require a large number of prints of one photograph, such as a team photograph to provide to the members of the team, we maybe able to offer a discount in these circumstances. Please contact us for advice and to discuss your requirements.

My print has been damaged in the post, what do I do ?

Unfortunately this does occasionally happen. Please contact us for advice.

Will the print be exactly as on the website gallery ?

The A4 and A3 prints will usually be exactly as seen on the website. Occasionally, because of the cropping that is applied to the original photograph, for example a photograph may be cropped to a square, we will print your photograph to make best use of the selected print size. It’s often difficult to print 6×4 inch photographs exactly as seen on the website. In this case we will return to the original photograph and print it as close as possible to the original website image.

If we have any problems or concerns regarding your order, we will contact you before printing, but in general we will keep as close to the website image while making best use of the selected print size.

Can my print be cropped differently to the image on the website ?

Please contact us for advice. It is possible to supply the photograph cropped differently to the image on the website, but this will depend on the original image and the size and orientation of the cropping you require.

Will the caption from the website gallery be printed on my photograph ?

No. Your photograph will supplied as image only, with no accompanying text.

Do you sell signed photographs ?

Sorry, no.

Additional information

We endeavour to provide the best quality prints of all our photographs, but the quality of the final image can be affected by a number of conditions. We use state of the art professional digital cameras which have improved considerably over the years. This can mean that the quality of our current images is significantly better than that taken with the digital cameras we used 10, 5, or even a few years ago. Consequently, a mixed order of prints over a number of years may reflect this.

We cover matches at a large number of grounds, throughout the year, with afternoon and night-time kick-offs, and in all weathers. Consequently the quality of the images will vary according to this, especially matches played under floodlight conditions, as the quality and amount of light varies considerably from ground to ground.

As each order is individually printed we will ensure the best quality image for your photographs.

All photographs supplied by us are copyright of Huw Evans Picture Agency Ltd., and must not be copied or reproduced in any format without our permission. This includes prints and digital file format. We take any breach of copyright very seriously, especially if the image is used in a commercial activity or for financial gain.
