Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 – 2 Cardiff City
Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds kept up their amazing start to the new season with a great away win at Molineux.
The City took the initiative from the start and always looked the better side but the score remained goalless at the end of the first half.
The Bluebirds upped the tempo after the restart and Joe Ralls found the net in the 54 minute after sustained pressure.
Another goal looked a certainty but it was Wolves who levelled the score through Bonatini Lohner Maia and a draw looked to be on the cards.
Mendez-Laing had other ideas and finished off a lovely move with Kenneth Zohore to give the City their fourth win in as many matches. Manager Warnock couldn’t hide his delight fist pumping the crowd and doing the “Ayatollah”
